La Theaudiere is a hamlet situated in southern Brittany, near to the border with Loire Atlantique. (Google maps: La Theaudiere, Ille et Vilaine, 35134) There are 6 dwellings in the hamlet, which is conveniently situated 7 kilometers from 2 small towns, Retiers and Martigne Ferchaud. Both are very pretty rural towns with all facilities, good boulangeries, supermarkets and decent restaraunts. Martigne has a lake with sandy beach and nature reserve and has an amazing ‘Etincelles Aquatique’ sound and light spectacle in the summer. The house is surrounded by farmland and reached by tree-lined country roads; it is not overlooked yet benefits from having neighbours
